The Culture in Turkey

Turkey has a very unique culture, and it’s clear to see in food, textile arts, architecture and music and it tends to reflect richness and diversity. Turkish cuisine includes delicious kebabs, stews, soups, pastries and pasta, while one popular healthy dish is Kisir, made up of ground bulgur, parsley, and tomato paste.

Folk dances are popular in Turkey while music is a part of cultural expression and instruments used in Turkey include flutes, bagpipes, ouds and zithers. Literature continues to grow too, and Turkey is a rather large contributor to poetry, while opera and ballet remain popular.

You can now see what we mean when we talk about ‘richness and diversity’ and Turkey really has it all. It’s a culture like no other, and over time not a lot has changed. The traditional culture is still clear to see and you can witness this during the Turkish holidays, celebrations and religious ceremonies.
